It's frustrating when people go over your head at your own job when you know you're right. Sometimes, you just have to let it all play out, though. Redditor u/PANCHOMUFFIN posted to r/MaliciousCompliance to share a story of how their quality control notifications were ignored at their job with a company that puts logos on uniform shirts when they noticed one shirt would be printed in a way that forced the logo into the armpit of the shirt. When a client responded nastily to the employee's suggestion that they print the logo on the right side, OP decided to let the chips fall where they may.
Sure enough, OP was right — the shirt printed entirely improperly and everyone learned that day why they should be listening to what OP says. As a result, that company had to dish out a hefty refund, lost business, and the boss who lambasted OP was demoted. Maybe sometimes the customer is wrong.
